Neither stats nor W/L can be looked at in a vacuum. If Peyton Manning throws an 80 yard touchdown in a blowout win, but the pass was a four yard screen that Demariyus took to the house... I'm not giving that pass more credit than Alex's bomb to Avery in a loss. I'm just not.
Having said that, Alex threw 23 TD in the regular season, but five of them came in one game. There were five games where he failed to throw a single touchdown, despite winning the game. I'm not giving him more credit in those wins than I am for Andrew Luck's 326 yd, 4 TD, 0 INT loss to the Bengals.
