I think everyone in the world thought "this'll be an INT" when he released the ball, but in that case the throw was absolutely perfect, so he got away with it.
But that pass could have easily been picked as well, and it was the same mistake - trying to get the ball to a receiver over a defender who is in position to make the play. Sure, it CAN work, but the throw has to be perfect, and you won't make a perfect throw every time. A man's got to know his limitations.

I was thinking Harbaugh should have taken one of his two TO at :50 after the Davis first down and worked some shorter passes. Nope. Waste :20 and try to go yard for a pick. That's a pretty big coaching error IMO. Maybe he had a shorter read, but give kaep come time. The decision to throw is on Kaep and FFS throw it to the corner, but wasting 20 seconds and calling an end zone route is bad coaching.
