I started during the endurance phase, which ruined me. I was doing the Rippatoe Starting Strength program for way too long (5x5's) and jumping into a 4x15 program ensured that I slept well. I was literally on the verge of passing out and vomiting all over the place. It felt good.
Now I'm back to the 2nd power phase and deadlifts have jumped 40lbs since the last go around. This is after being plateaued on Starting Strength for probably 6 months.

That's where we started. I remember commenting that 15 reps was an infuriating # of reps to be doing. I was very happy to move to the hypertrophy phase.
