I think people get too wrapped up in labels, tbh.
I feel that the most important question is can you win with this quarterback?
If that is a yes then you look at whether you are winning despite the quarterback or he's contributing to the victory. Then you have to look at if an upgrade is available and if that is a yes then you have to weigh out the impact to salary cap, chemistry, and learning curve. Then base your decision on that.
