I still find myself bouncing between the 22-24 year and ~30 age brackets. I entertained a 23 year old a couple times the past couple months. It was a lot of fun, but I had to keep from smashing her unrealistic dreams in nearly every other conversation. Small town girl with a kid but no custody, serious daddy issues, a shit job, no money, no college, a pot smoking past that got her in trouble, living at home, and big dreams of building a log cabin on a big farm and traveling all over the country. 
I regularly dodged the "what do you think" question like I was running with the bulls and had to look away every time she said, "oh, it's just money". I constantly felt like this....

Maybe she has not had anyone in her life that she values tell her the truth. My friends yell at me and thank me at the same time. For telling them the honest truth.
Well that is if you care for her at all.
