The difference of course is that KU is a national powerhouse while Snyder (despite all his greatness) has made KSU more of a regional power. Snyder's record vs top-20 teams is pretty awful. That said winning at KSU football is much much more difficult than winning at KU basketball.
In the end, I'd have to say thus far that Snyder edges out Self as the better coach. If Self bags another NCAA Title that would change. I have to grade on a curve.
