They need to draft Manziel, purely because if he sucks, everyone will blame the player, not the franchise. You have a get-out-of-jail-free card by taking the most electric, in-state college player at a position of need.

Now... St. Louis needs to take Clowney. They can still go with offensive line with their other first rounder and come back in the second for another pass catcher.

I agree. They already passed at drafting one of their own in Vince Young a few years back. Not only did he go to college in the state but also went to Houston Madison HS. Turns out it was the right move but Mario Williams, who they chose instead, isn't with the team any longer....I bet this time around they do end up taking Manziel.
