When you compare highlights here Cooks and Beckham are actually 2 different types of WRs IMO. Beckham is more of a No.2 type of WR in the NFL that doesn't NOT have slot potential because he is not near as quick nor has the elite speed Cooks possesses. Both have great hands NO DOUBT and run great routes. The difference here is that Beckham needs the blocking ahead of him more often than not to be a playmaker whether on returns or yards after the catch. Whereas Cooks is his own playmaker whether he has the blocking or not. He literally can create his own seams because he has not only elite speed but he is that quick and can start and stop on a dime without downshifting in speed. And another thing that impresses me both about Cooks and Beckham are that they catch the ball over the middle IN TRAFFIC with great focus. Compare all the youtube clips here and you will see Cooks is more of a playmaker that could easily be a No. 2 WR and a PERFECT No.1 SLOT and potentially the offensive rookie of the year for the Chiefs this next year in a Andy Reid offense.
