What coach is going to bench a former top 5 pick who is performing decently for a relatively unknown 3rd round or later pick who has only been in the league for a couple of years? No coach is going to do that unless that back-up proves himself to be clearly superior in every respect of the game. They didn't start Bailey over him because Bailey was a developmental pick that they hoped would become a better pass rusher than Jackson. There's a reason why they took Jackson out on a lot of 3rd down snaps, because they know he sucks as a pass rusher and needs to be upgraded.
Man, Chiefs fans and their propensity to want to hang onto mediocre players.
It's time to move on from Jackson like it was time to move on from McCluster. Just like it'll be time to move on from Hali and Flowers next season when it'll be feasible to cut their salaries to open up some cap room.
