What I am showing is that most people are idiots. They look at sack totals for anyone near the DL and scream "he rocks / he sucks!" without a clue what they are talking about. TJ got pretty good at 2-gapping. The defense has now shifted again and he's still one of the best DL on the team.

Best to keep quiet than open your mouth and remove all doubt... In different schemes, a 2 gapper may pass rush all out, drive their man and squeeze the pocket, or, as is typically seen in a base 3-4, they have draw / scramble reads - it all depends on the scheme, game plan and play call. Romeo's base 3-4 mixed up squeeze and draw duty on the line. Rarely if ever was the 3 DL expected to actually get to the QB in Romeo's defense. 3rd & long was a different story, as he approached that with a different philosophy.

Sigh... guess you'll just have to disagree with
his teammates and coaches. Even PFF - a site I can't stand - has TJ as having a "
hot market".
My point is, people calling for KC to not resign TJ best watch what they are asking for. You definitely can do a lot worse and it doesn't make a lot of sense to cheer cutting on of your best three defensive linemen.
