When you know the opposing team isn't gonna be trying to throw deep, you can prepare your DL to get their hands up to knock down the short passes and for your corners to jump the short routes.
If we had added Byrd, we could have mimicked that approach.

It wasn't just the three GMs, HCs, and DCs that didn't want him. The majority of the fans didn't want him either and feel like they upgraded. Go read some of their message boards. He sucked in coverage.
