He didn't have to do anything and they didn't open the offense up for the team until the second half of the season.
His history shows that he elevates his play when he needs to.
Against the Broncos he played his ass off in each game but the team failed around him.
Against the Chargers he played his ass off but Houston got injured and the Defense collapsed.
Colts playoff game he was ripping it out there and was superior to Andrew Luck in that game by far, but the defense, again, collapsed around him while Bowe failed to get his damn toes inbounds on the final play of that game for our offense.
Yeah, he's supposed to light it up from day 1 in a new offense with new teammates who are also just learning that offense as well and a coaching staff that is purposefully limiting play calling because of that reason.
