I disagree that this wasn't an elite team it had 10 pro bowlers. Had they signed Byrd or Mitchell kept the offensive lline together and got a #2 WR they certainly could beat San Diego and competed against Denver.

Asamoah sucks.
Albert sucks.
Schwartz is just a guy.
You want to keep that line together?
They've already upgraded Albert's position with either Fisher or Stephenson - either guy has a substantially higher ceiling than Albert ever will/had. And I'd say that both were playing at a higher level than Albert was by the end of the season. Both should come into this next season and kick ass.
Linkenbach is Schwartz. Period.
Upgraded line by subtraction. Holes on the line and other spots will be filled through the draft - just like real teams who win Super Bowls do it.
This doom and gloom over the free agency period around here is utterly amazing. I get it that most people don't know shit about the college game and it's players, so they think that the world revolves around getting broke dick guys in free agency, but it's the teams that build through the draft, that keep their teams together to build continuity that actually win.
You want what Seattle did? Then draft good, play those guys sooner rather than later and let them build chemistry.
