There is no quest for mediocrity. Look at the money spent on talent and coaches. People who want to be mediocre, aren't investing that much.
It's a tired rationalization which basically means they aren't building the team with the players I want, so I'll keep using this line.

Yup. And people like that will never, ever be satisfied with the Chiefs, because the Chiefs will never get the players they want. Waste of time arguing with them though.
