I didn't chart all of it all or anything, but I don't recall Smart getting to the rim when Selden was guarding him. That's where I got that he has comparable quickness.
I agree that Smart's defense, particularly his anticipation, is far and away better than Selden's, but Selden's on the ball defense is pretty dang good.
To me, though, Selden's biggest problem is that he didn't show the want to for smoking some chump and getting to the rim. Hopefully he can reflect on what Wiggins was able to do, and apply it to himself. Hopefully he can take some initiative and demolish some dudes and get himself paid (after he wins the national championship).
