I'm not sure, never looked in to it. I was first exposed to HIT (high intensity training) in 1986, full body, none stop work. I've done many variations throughout the years. CF has taken some of this and incorporated Olympics lifts. They've also evolved during the past 6 years that I have been doing it as well.
