That leaves about 2m left unless someone else also signs an extension that lowers his cap number (Berry, Hali, etc)....that would mean Alex would be signing a contract that would have a low first year salary and bigger cap numbers in the future.
Not sure how I feel about that because if the total deal averages lets say 16 million and his first year only hits for 9, that means he would have to have a year or 2 with a cap hit near or above 20m.

And now people are starting to understand why we stayed quiet. I am sure he signs with a high bonus and a very low base for year 1. Probably a third year roster bonus kicker. Won't be hard to make him cap friendly without moving a lot of contracts around. I am hoping the chiefs are considering Murray so they can cut Daniel and then you extend Berry to save some money.
