Great post.
As a member of the "critical" crowd, I was pleasantly surprised by the progress Alex Smith showed in the second half of the season (from the first San Diego game on, he was very good, aside from the season closing game against Indy). I am cautiously optimistic he can continue to be that guy, but need to see a little bit more before I buy all in on him being that guy.
