They don't define prolonged fasting and skipping breakfast hardly sends someone into "starvation." They try to say 12 hour fasting is fine, but they don't conclusively say that 24 hour fasting is bad. I don't know... just seems like a weird study. |
AFAIK, once you pass about 16 hours, you've pretty much exhausted the benefits of fasting, aside from calorie restriction.
