That's rough - sorry you had to go through that. I'm sure that you've been told so before, but you can't blame yourself for other people's mistakes. Her decision was based on a number of things, and your opinion was only one of them.
I'll usually offer to walk someone home if I can or buy them a cab if they refuse to pay for one themselves, since I'm not usually comfortable driving unless I know for certain that I'm sober.
