I'm certainly not anti-carb I chow on fruits, all forms of potatoes, white rice. You can have both fat and carbs. The only time I get in trouble is when the processed shit gets out of control. Then it's a quick bloat followed by pudge. The whole food carbs don't seem to mess with me much.

I'm sure that's true, just like anytime I'm deep into a fitness routine the thought of fast food just disappears, don't miss it at all.
I know the carb thing works, I had a work buddy a few years ago who was in that 60-70 pounds overweight range and it just melted off for him on that program, he wasn't even working out either.
I just genuinely like the starches too much, if I'm grilling a big ol steak you can bet I'm putting a baked potato/pasta salad etc alongside it... a heaping side of broccoli just isn't gonna cut it.
