So, I'm in the beginning of trying to lose weight (5lbs in 2 weeks). I'm at the gym this morning and get this crazy idea in my head that I should say "hi" to the very cute girl who works there. So, I practice my lines (I get nervous if I don't) as I'm working out for the next 2 hours, and as I'm leaving, the following conversation happens between the two of us:

Me: Hi! My name is [my name]. Girl: Hi, I'm [her name]. Me: I couldn't help but notice you're very pretty. Girl: [grins] Me: I didn't want to ask you on a date yet, but wait until I lose 30lbs before I do. Girl: [raises eyebrow while still smiling] Oh? Me: It sounds odd, but if you're still single by August, I'd like to go to the park with you for a picnic and stroll. Girl: Ok, but you promise to keep coming here to this gym? Me: Most definitely! Have a good morning! Girl: [giggles] Bye!

So, I have a task for myself. It's on the ambitious side, but I can do it.

I just thought I'd share my story since I'm still smiling. And my cheeks hurt.
