After the Cowboys game, I don't think that Reid and Sutton tried making Flowers shadow the opposing #1 again. It was that much of a disaster and clearly proved to them that Flowers couldn't perform the job of a true #1 corner.
Jackson had 3 catches for 62 yards. I don't consider him a #1 WR, much more of a gadget and flash player than he is a consistent #1 type receiver. Flowers gave up a big 40 yarder to him from what I remember. Most of the time Vick had almost no time to throw because Houston was abusing Lane Johnson so badly. Here is the play:

Broncos, Welker made Flowers look absolutely lost when trying to cover the slot. It was sad because our entire secondary looked so bad that virtually every receiver was open within 1 or 2 seconds after the snap of the ball. I remember specifically a play when Welker faked a crossing route and Flowers tried to guess and was beaten by a mile to the inside instead. It was absolutely pathetic CB play.
Against the Colts, I wasn't able to watch the first game but in the playoffs Flowers did well against Hilton for the most part. He was certainly better than Robinson. Hilton is not a #1 WR, he's another gadget-type WR who is primarily a deep threat.
