People need to get real, the word Chief is a word for leadership or nobility to a group, much like a Royal or a Monarch.

To stay on that same vein the military should get rid of the ranks of Chief Master Sergeant, Master Chief, Senior Chief, Chief Petty Officer, and Cheif Warrant Officer as those might also be offensive.
