They're a family business, everyone who works there is family and has worked there for yrs....it's always been cash only. They're just old fashioned people that don't like very much change I guess.
That place hasn't changed since I used to go there as a kid for little league baseball pizza parties back in the early 90's.
But I do agree it's a bit of an inconvenience when you have to walk over across the street to the gas station ATM to get cash (the resturaunt doesn't have an ATM).

I always figure they've got to be under reporting income to the IRS, or not reporting at all. Ah well.
There's a nice little Mexican shop outside of the army base down here that has the most authentic Mexican food I've had from a public business. Wonderful food. Cash only place, though. I wouldn't care one way or the other, except for the fact that I never carry cash and always forget right up until I'm walking through the door.
Last month I was in Houston and was planning on eating at a well known hamburger joint downtown. Supposedly one of the best burgers in the city. Hubcap grill was the name of the place. We pull up walk in and see the cash only sign at the counter. Damn. Luckily, they had an ATM next to the restrooms. Walk over to the ATM....out of order. I just left. Pissed off. I realize they're doing great business, so they couldn't care less, but they lost out on a customer because they don't accept cards.
