IIRC, San Francisco had the #5 defense in the league one of those years; the #3 defense the other year; and the majority of the wins last year came when the KC defense was playing well. In fact, for a lot of those early wins last year Alex didn't even throw one touchdown.
Maybe there should be an asterisk.
