Is he just not on a run of horrible luck? He has his highest LD rate of the year in September by far, so it seems like when he's hitting the ball he's centering it. His BABIP is also 50 points lower than its been in any other month. His K-rate is up, which would explain some of the troubles, but not enough to justify dropping him.

He just uncharacteristically swinging at bad pitches lately. I been noticing that opponents are bringing in lefty relievers to face him more often than I used to. So yeah, he has been struggling pretty badly in September.
Thankfully his defense hasn't suffered, outside of that one gaffe against the Tigers at the K.
