He mentioned drafting Ford because of his explosiveness, drafting Fisher because he believed long arms were the next ground for linemen, and picking up vance walker because he wanted one gappers who can quickly explode into the pocket.
If he treats the blue chips like he does the scrap guys, which is to focus on talent over forcing into scheme, hopefully he sees more success. Because you're right, he missed on some really good receivers to try to exploit a gimmick.
