Despite Sony's overall lack of security, I find it hard to believe their IT department is SO incompetent they failed to back the data up. Granted backing up data is right up there with changing default passwords (or not using the file name as a password) in IT 101, but when the product is the data, I imagine they have some archive somewhere.
