I think the best thing for Bowe and the Chiefs is a trade to someone like the Browns, Vikings or Bears. You aren't going to get a lot because of the contract and his age, but I think it's in his and the teams best interests.

Barksdale, in my opinion, has been one of the better right tackles in the NFL less that performance against Houston. I think it'll take that to get him to sign elsewhere, if he even tests the market. Obviously I could use the draft to secure the position and that might be an option. I do like Cam Erving and a few others.

I'm not sure on trading Bowe, his salary portion of his contract is just as prohibitive as anything. Bowe might would have to be willing to renegotiate with another team too with 10.75, 9.75, and 9.75 million in salary over the next 3 years. I'd try to shop him if I was intent on getting rid of him though. He isn't worthless to the team, but he's not worth the money he's getting. I don't think he'll restructure to a range he is truly worth it.


Thanks on responses. Would love to hear suggestions on the right tackle situation. I'm looking at John Miller as a guy to draft at left guard if Carpenter doesn't hit FA. I'd also look at Iupati in FA, but I don't think he's as good as Carpenter.
