What I would have done from Oct. 7th onward would have been to release the list of teams considered in the top ten and then list the next ten or 15. That way the media can get their bullshit speculation and ****-**** games about who should be ranked above who by means of the AP and Coaches poll and whether or not that jives with the committee's rankings, fans can see whether or not a team such as Minnesota is technically in contention for the playoff while the committee avoids the scrutiny they encountered with dropping TCU from 3 to 5.
