He's 32: He'd lose a step each year, regardless of an Achilles replacement. It's not like an ACL.
His upper body and strength may be just fine but he won't know how the new Achilles will hold up until he's on the football field. He's not an immobile QB like Dan Marino - he's been a very active ILBer.
If he returns to even 90%, it'll be a "miracle" of modern science.
