Getting the comp pick for him this year lessens the pain, and I like comp picks.
I think the goal of any NFL team these days is to not get old. You get old by paying free agents big money, or resigning players who are approaching 30 big contracts. I don't think we should automatically try and get comp picks by watching our young talent leave. We must keep players like Hudson and Houston, they are just entering their prime. That said, its stupid to break the bank on Albert who's already 30 or guys like Asamoah who are nothing more than adequate at their positions.

Albert was by far the best lineman this team had and a top LT in the league. The grand master plan for his replacement was a OT from the MAC... what a joke.
