actually it makes sense to me...
for example
they did the 'squeeze test'
before the game and cleared the balls for play.. (this is speculation, as I dont believe they have confirmed exactly WHAT they did pre-game)
then
at halftime, they checked the balls with a gauge, and found them to be low and inflated them...(as they said they did)
it makes as much sense as anything reasonable I have heard
and it makes more sense than 90 seconds in a bathroom trying to deflate all the balls then walk out like a boss with them all zipped back up in a bag
