BountyGate set a precedent, and is one we should go off of for discipline towards the Patriots
"Ignorance is not an excuse" was also a precedent set in BountyGate, which is why Belichick should also be apart of the punishment
That and the whole "atmospheric pressure" garbage pressure he held
BountyGate I believe was a year long suspension and a fine
Since the Patriots are repeat offenders I would double it along with doubling the first punishment they received for taping signals
Double the suspension for Belichick that Payton got; two years
Double the first round draft picks the Patriots were suspended the first time they got caught cheating; so take away their 2015 and 2016 first round picks
I think that would hopefully send a strong enough message
I am not sure how effective fining a billionaire millions of dollars is
But removing the cheater (Belichick) from the game should hopefully put an end to their systematic cheating
