in his previous life he probably discovered it too late and washed out in college....
next life he was like holy shit, OK i'm gonna dedicate my entire life to being the best basketball player ever
and he did. and now he's just a jerk all the time because he has no idea what he's going to do in his next life, and he knows it's probably gonna suck, because he's gonna be starting from scratch. he didn't develop any rudimentary skills/talents in this life to perfect in his next one. too much time spent on basketball, sex and gambling.
