My son is pretty good size and in 6th grade he was being picked on by a behemoth of a boy. I told him repeatedly to knock him on his ass because the school would do
nothing to address it. Finally one day my son did just that, and that kid has been one of his best friends ever since. Not only that but they now look out for bullying in middle school
to take care of would be problems. I realize it isn't one size fits all for every situation, but it worked in this case. Also my son watches over and is friends with a very small autistic kid whom he has protected on more than one occasion.

Normal bullying I agree with you.. When you viciously beat up an autistic kid(any person smaller than you) that bad; there is something more vile going on in that kids heart. Those types I have seen growing up. All of them are in prison.
