New Mexico St. is more like a 12-13 seed in terms of quality and could definitely beat KU. They play at a slow tempo and destroy teams on the offensive boards (which KU doesn't have the personnel to really be able to stop). I'd expect a close game with a KU win, but it could easily go the other way.
