I am not an outwardly religious person. But I do believe in a man upstairs. I can't help but think this complicated enterprise called "Life on Earth" must have some layer of upper management somewhere. And as I've said many times, I love and respect Jesus, I just don't want to attend his weekly fan club meetings. So today on Easter I'm thankful for my lovely wifey who's been with me for 21 years now. I'm thankful for my good friends -many of whom have been my co-conspirators for 40 or more years; thankful for a decent and comfortable life in the town I've always called home; thankful for good enough health to get up off the mat and answer the bell every damn day, and thankful for the humor and wisdom that I get from all of you.
I saw the Easter Bunny this AM when I went out to get the newspaper. He's not white with pink ears, he's brown with a little white tail, and he's really fast.
Celebrate as you see fit, and enjoy the blessing of having Freedom of Religion. It's not something to be taken for granted.
