Something more I want to note on this subject: I don't tend to mind the fact that a winning QB doesn't always throw for a ton of yards throughout a game. I value efficiency over gaudy stats. The ability to do so when necessary, however,
is extremely important.
When cracking 300 yards in a game (only once in 2014) or gaining 40 yards to put your team in field goal position (final drive of Cards game) becomes such a laborious effort, it's a problem; and I think that problem is symptomatic of his unwillingness to look down field.
That's why I view Russell Wilson as a higher tier QB than Alex despite "similar" stats.
