Apparently, you haven't been following all of the reports in which Russell has said he's dealt with the issue of moving on before or that Schneider is unwilling to meet his contract demands because they're unsure if Wilson is a true Franchise QB or a product of a great team around him.
If a deal doesn't get done soon and Wilson plays out the season, only to be Franchised in 2016, there will be a lot of animosity between the player and the front office.
IMO, if you believe he's a Franchise QB, you lock him up now, not a year from now when his price will likely increase due to more salary cap room.
