If Rich Gannon can become a star QB at 30 something, then why not an MLB pitcher? I know football is irrelevant to baseball but this stuff happens in many sports.
I wasn't around to witness this but Johnny Bower; goaltending legend that played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the '60s who was part of their dynasty teams in that era, didn't blossom and become a star in the NHL till his 30s.
