well, here is what I know:
Joe Flacco is an inferior QB to Russell Wilson. I don't think it's close.
The Ravens "gambled" on Flacco (honestly, I think they were going to let him walk) and he went on a ridiculous playoff run (lucky, albeit) and it ended up costing the Ravens $40+M and a TON of guaranteed money. It pretty much cost them 2 really good players per year to "gamble" and let him play that last year.
If the Seahawks want to do the same, it'll burn them, too. If they want to go the "franchise tag" route, it'll cost them north of $55M GUARANTEED for 2 years of franchising Wilson after this year (if they franchise him both years).
They are going to pay him. It's a non-story. He'll get Aaron Rodgers' contract with more guaranteed money and it'll be done. That's just the way it is. And then when Luck gets paid, he'll get Aaron' Rodgers contract + 20% with even more guaranteed money.
