Having seen the effects of chemo and radiation to family members and friends these past few years leads me to believe that it will be extremely difficult for him to resume an NFL career and play at a high level.
Someone can "look okay" physically but struggle mentally. Chemo and radiation also can affect bone density, causing them to become brittle, so running 25 miles an hour and crashing into a 230 pound human being won't likely be recommended.
It would be fantastic if he could return to the NFL but as a fan, I'm more concerned about his long term health.
