The entire "Hunts are cheap" rhetoric needs to be put to bed. They may not be as aggressive bringing in FAs as the fans would like, but I don't think money is what drives that.
Fact is, the Chiefs don't let their stars get away. The two biggest names to leave KC are Jared Allen and Neil Smith. I don't believe the Chiefs wanted to keep Allen, Smith took less money to play elsewhere because he has shit for brains.
