Well to be fair, if compared to my wife's parents we are behind. It's also hard to compare the different eras. The retirement thing that some have mentioned is a good point as well, I do believe the baby boomers are going to enjoy far better retirements than any of the subsequent generations. Just because we may be doing equal or slightly better at this point in time, it doesn't mean we are better off overall.
