BTW, that state finals game we lost was catastrophic. He tore his ACL in the state semifinal game, maybe the sub-state game and continued to lead our team to a finals berth. However, to avoid risking his future, he was advised to sit out in our state finals game and our team ended up losing by just a couple points in the finals.
Jesse was also a multiple time state champion in track and was a stud basketball player. I can't remember if he played baseball, but he would have been good at that. His uncles and father all made the Ertz family notorious for being a great baseball name, prior to Jesse...which he made them primarily known to be a great football name.
