If you don't live close enough to the park to do that, then just wait as late as you can, and get them the morning of, they should still be cheaper than now.
If you value selection over price, then now might be better because you obviously have fewer to choose from at the last hour.
edit: keep in mind the prices will be stupid-high even an hour to the game. They'll just merely be stupid-high instead of completely and utterly insanely high.

I live three hours away, so I don't know if I can really take my chances with that. I'll probably have to get them earlier just for my own peace of mind. I appreciate the feedback though.
