I don't think you understand how small of a sample size 27 baseball games is.
Here are two batters' splits in April 2006. Both were 26 years old:
Player A: 10 Homers, .326/.404/.783
Player B: 5 homers, .306/.388/.494
Player A hit 8 more homers, for the rest of his career.
Player B hit 53 more homers...that season.
A is Chris Shelton
B is Ryan Howard in his MVP year
