I totally agree we may not win, that's baseball. But I really don't understand how everyone, not just here but on other boards and Twitter... are sitting here arguing that the Royals are losing because they let up in September and the Astros didn't. That's not true at all. There's just no basis in reality for that. They just beat us tonight. It has nothing to do with September or previous years' playoff series or any of that voodoo. You can even argue they came into the playoffs colder than almost anyone.

It's not something they chose to do it just happens when you stop playing with a sense of urgency. You see it happen in every sport almost every year. It's not an easy thing to manage. There is a huge trend of wild card teams scraping to the end and riding that wave into the playoffs. The Astros didn't play well the last month, but they have had to continue to play with a sense of urgency. It's also not a great matchup for the Royals, and most of us knew that. We can still get hot starting tomorrow and win the series. The sky isn't falling yet.
